Princess Diana and John F. Kennedy Jr. had a “passionate fling” within hours of meeting, according to excerpts from a new book published in a British tabloid on Monday.

The book, by Diana’s former “energy healer,” Simone Simmons, alleges the encounter was “a moment of pure lust” at the Carlyle Hotel in Manhattan, which President Kennedy allegedly used for trysts with Marilyn Monroe, The Sun reported Monday.

“We started talking, one thing led to another – and we ended up in bed together. It was pure chemistry,” Simmons alleges Diana told her, according to The Sun.

But friends of the late princess dismissed the claims as “simply untrue.”

“Simone has thrown the eye of a newt and bats’ wings into a pot and concocted a fantastical story of nonsense in pretty much the same vein as the mystical rubbish she used to feed the princess,” Diana’s former butler, Paul Burrell, wrote in a rival British tabloid, The Daily Mirror.

“What none of us should believe is the untruthful, unsupported, nonevidenced invention from Simone that the princess had an affair with JFK Jr. This is simply untrue,” Burrell wrote in The Daily Mirror.

Princess Diana died in a car crash in Paris in 1997. John F. Kennedy Jr. was killed when a private plane he was piloting crashed off the coast of Massachusetts in 1999.
