A ferry lost power, plowed through several boats and crashed into a marina Thursday as it tried to dock at Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver.

British Columbia Ferries spokeswoman Deborah Marshall said there were no reports of injuries. The vessel missed its berth, she said.

“The Queen of Oak Bay lost power while coming around the corner into Horseshoe Bay. The ship drifted into Sewell’s Marina damaging several boats,” Marshall said.

Gus Tsogaf, the owner of the Bay Moorings Restaurant overlooking the harbor, said the ferry wrecked 15 or 20 small boats before it came to a stop.
