Donald Trump is in the presidential race for the long haul. That’s what he told Chuck Todd in an interview to air Sunday on “Meet the Press.” When asked if he would drop out of the nomination fight if he were to lose in Iowa, Donald Trump responded, “I’m not leaving.”
He admitted that he has waffled on this answer in the past, but now believes he is going to stick it out until the Republican Convention in July. “There’s no maybes…I’m going all the way. If I don’t win, I don’t win,” said the outspoken Republican candidate.
In the latest Fox News poll out of Iowa, Donald Trump is polling at 23% among likely Republican Iowa caucus-goers. That puts him in second place behind Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, who is polling at 27%. NBC News, The Wall Street Journal, and Marist College will debut new Iowa numbers on “Meet the Press" Sunday morning.
