Charlie Sheen just upped his good-guy credentials. The "Anger Management" star, no stranger to being hounded by the paparazzi, generously sent a $12,000 check to help cover funeral costs to the family of the photographer who was killed last week while trying to snap a picture of Justin Bieber's car.

"A tragic incident like this erases the line between the photographer and the subject. It's an unforgiving moment that begs us all to be human and work as one to prevent this in the future," Sheen told E! News through his rep. "As parents, we are all not supposed to bury our children. My deepest condolences to the families involved."

The actor’s found success in films like “Wall Street” and TV shows like “Two and a Half Men,” but his off-screen life hasn’t been as smooth.

Justin Bieber paparazzo death: Chris Guerra remembered as a "sweet" guy

Chris Guerra, a 29-year-old paparazzo who was described as a "sweet" guy by his peers, crossed Sepulveda Boulevard by Los Angeles' Getty Center and the 405 Freeway to try and get a shot of the teen idol's white Ferrari, which had been pulled over by police, when he was tragically struck by a car driven by a 69-year-old woman and subsequently died. (It turned out that the driver of Bieber's vehicle was actually the singer's rap buddy Lil Twist.)

Sheen decided to pitch in after a plea from a photog pal who was friends with Guerra and was trying to raise money to help the latter's family with the funeral expenses. The wake was being held Thursday.

All we can say is way to go, Charlie.
