Nationalist protesters rallied through the streets of Kiev on Tuesday, in a horde that included members of the ultra-conservative Right Sector and far-right politicians. The demonstration was held to commemorate the 72nd anniversary of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army which fought against both Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union.

Many demonstrators clashed with police sparking riots outside of parliament. The scene was lit by the light of red flares as the chaos continued into the evening hours.
