1. Bystander Shot, Attacked by Mob in Israel Unrest

A foreigner who was mistaken for a terrorist in the commotion of an attack at a bus station in southern Israel was shot and beaten by a mob and later died from his wounds. An Israeli soldier was also killed in the Beersheba bus station attack, and several others were wounded as Palestinian-Israeli tensions persisted in the region. Read more in NEWS.

2. Kerry to Meet Russia, Others to Discuss Options for Syria

Secretary of State John Kerry said Monday he will travel to the Middle East "in a few days" to meet with leaders from Russia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Jordan to discuss "real and tangible options" for a political solution to the Syria crisis. Read more in NEWS.

3. Death Toll Climbs as Typhoon Koppu Lashes Philippines

Parts of the Philippines were left submerged in 3 feet of water Monday due to Typhoon Koppu, which wasn't expected to move out to sea until at least Tuesday. At least nine people were already killed in the storm, and officials warned that entire communities were at risk of being swept away in mudslides. Read more in WEATHER.

4. Trump and Bush Continue Feud Over 9/11, George W.

A fight over Donald Trump's comments about George W. Bush and the 9/11 attacks lasted through the weekend, with Trump saying Sunday that he had an issue with Jeb Bush saying: "my brother kept us safe." Jeb Bush also buckled down on Sunday and said George W. Bush "did it as you would hope a president would do" in the aftermath of 9/11. Read more in POLITICS.

5. Sheriff’s Deputy Killed by Patient He Was Monitoring in Hospital

A sheriff's deputy was shot and killed Sunday by a Minnesota patient who was a suspect in a "domestic-related incident." The patient, who the deputy was monitoring at the request of the hospital, also died after security guards used a Taser on him. Read more in NEWS.

6. Shooter at Large After One Killed, 5 Hurt in ‘ZombiCon’ Shooting

Five people were injured and one person was killed after a gunman opened fire at "ZombiCon" in Fort Myers, Florida. The suspect was still at large, police said Sunday night, urging any witnesses to call in tips and share videos. Read more in NEWS.

7. High School Football Player Dies After Collapsing on Field

Texas high school football player, Cam'ron Matthews, had an aneurysm on the sidelines of Friday night's game and died in the hospital the next night, according to a family friend and the superintendent of his school. Matthews is the sixth high school football player to die since early September. Read more in NEWS.
