1. World Leaders Kick Off High-Stakes Climate Talks

President Obama joined about 150 world leaders Monday for the start of climate talks near Paris. The conference was preceded Sunday by rallies and protests attended by an estimated 570,000 people in 175 countries. About 200 people were arrested in Paris after some became violent and hurled objects at police. The city remains under a state of emergency after terror attacks there left 130 dead on Nov. 13. 2. Planned Parenthood Shooting Victims ID'd as Mom, Army Vet

Jennifer Markovsky, 36, and Ke'Arre Stewart, 29, were identified Sunday as two of the three victims killed when a gunman stormed a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs on Friday. Stewart ran back inside the building after being shot to warn others to take cover, his brother told NBC News on Monday. Police Officer Garrett Swasey was killed while responding to the attack. 3. Another Wet, Snowy Storm Heads for Middle of U.S.

A winter storm that got its start in the Rockies took aim at Nebraska, South Dakota, Iowa and Minnesota on Monday. Parts of the Plains and the Great Lakes, which are still digging out and drying out after a deadly Thanksgiving storm, could get up to a foot of snow. Read more in WEATHER.

4. Trial Begins for One of the Cops in Freddie Gray Death Case

William Porter, the first of six officers to go to trial in the death of Baltimore man Freddie Gray, 25, has pleaded not guilty to manslaughter and misconduct. The trial could test tensions between police and the community. Protests erupted in Baltimore after Gray's death in April. Read more in NEWS.

5. 35 Injured as Bus Carrying College Students Flips

A bus carrying 50 passengers overturned Sunday night in Virginia, injuring 35 people, one of them critically. Many of those on the bus were heading back to Virginia Tech, Radford University and the University of Virginia after the holiday. The driver, Thomas B. Chidester, 58, was charged with reckless driving, Virginia State Police said. Read more in NEWS.
