1. Majority of Americans Dislike Clinton and Trump

This week's NBC News|SurveyMonkey Election Tracking Poll probed how American voters feel about the presidential front-runners. A majority of voters expressed negative feelings about both of them. Traditionally, a fair number of partisans on either side of the aisle express negative opinions about the other party's candidate — but the latest poll found that a majority of voters express negative feelings about both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. 2. EgyptAir Body Parts Suggest an Explosion on Board

Human remains recovered following the crash of EgyptAir Flight 804 suggest there was an explosion on board, a senior Egyptian official reportedly said Tuesday. The senior Egyptian forensics official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told The Associated Press that 80 body parts he examined at a Cairo morgue suggest there was an explosion on board. He said the remains were small and "there isn't even a whole body part, like an arm or a head." The source added: "The logical explanation is that it was an explosion." Read more in NEWS.

3. TSA Replaces Head of Security as Airport Lines Grow

The Transportation Security Administration moved dramatically Monday to address the issue of long lines at the nation's airports, replacing its head of security and creating a centralized incident command team at TSA headquarters. Kelly Hoggan, the agency's assistant administrator for security operations since 2013, will be replaced by Darby LaJoye, TSA Administrator Peter Neffenger said in an internal memo obtained by NBC News. 4. Baltimore Cop's Decision to Forego Jury Trial Paid Off

The decision by Baltimore police officer Edward Nero and his defense lawyers to stand trial before a judge — not a jury — was a smart legal tactic, legal experts said after he was acquitted Monday in the death of Freddie Gray. "If you have an overwhelming legal issue that better plays in front of a judge on the law, as opposed to the emotions of twelve people, you will go for a bench trial," said Rene Sandler, a Maryland defense lawyer and former prosecutor. 5. Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe Under FBI Investigation

The FBI is investigating whether Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe's 2013 campaign accepted illegal contributions, law enforcement officials confirmed to NBC News. Federal officials say for the past several months, the FBI has been looking at whether McAuliffe's 2013 campaign for governor of Virginia accepted political contributions that were forbidden by federal law. 6. Inmate Testifies Drew Peterson Admitted Killing Missing Wife

In an unexpected moment in court Monday, an inmate at the center of a murder-for-hire trial against Drew Peterson claimed the former suburban Chicago police officer, who was convicted in the murder of his third wife, admitted to also killing his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson. 7. 'Natural' Mosquito Repellents Don't Last

Most so-called natural mosquito repellents do not last anywhere near as long as those containing synthetic chemicals, Consumer Reports found. It's a big concern to people across the Americas as health officials caution everyone to avoid mosquito bites because of the spread of Zika virus, which causes severe birth defects and which sometimes also causes rare neurological complications in adults.
