1. Boy Scouts of America Votes to Allow Gay Leaders

The governing body of the Boy Scouts of America decided Monday that its decades-long ban on gay scout leaders "was no longer legally defensible." While the national ban is gone, effective immediately, local scouting units retain the ability to reject gay applicants for leadership positions if hiring them would violate the unit's religious beliefs. 2. Cardinals Hire First Female Coach in NFL History

The Arizona Cardinals have hired Jen Welter to work with inside linebackers as a training camp-preseason intern coach. Welter, a former rugby player at Boston College, played 14 seasons in women's pro football and was the first woman to play a non-kicking position in a men's pro league. Read more in SPORTS.

3. ISIS Left 'Thousands' of Mines in Syrian City

ISIS fighters forced out of Hasakah, Syria, have left "thousands" of landmines scattered throughout at least 15 villages, rendering them uninhabitable. "They plant large mines that are easily detonated so young boys are blown to pieces," said a Kurdish commander. Read more in NEWS.

4. Search Continues for Teens Missing Off Florida Coast

Austin Stephanos and Perry Cohen, both 14, have been missing since Friday, when they took their 19-foot boat off the coast of Jupiter, Florida, for a fishing trip. The boat was found Sunday, but the boys were not in it. Their families are asking that people search the shore for any debris that might provide clues about the teens' whereabouts. 5. Moammar Gadhafi's Son Sentenced to Death

One of Moammar Gadhafi's sons, Seif al-Islam, was sentenced to death over killings during the Libya's 2011 uprising. He has been convicted of suppressing peaceful protests during the revolution that ended his father's rule. Read more in NEWS.

6. Possible Serial Killer Had List of Women in Pocket

Neal Falls, the Oregon man who may be linked to 10 or more missing or murdered women, was carrying a list of six other women when he was killed last week by a West Virginia sex worker, police said Monday. Police have been in contact with all of the women and told them they may have been targets of Falls. Read more in NEWS.

7. Android Bug Could ‘Critically Expose’ Phones

A flaw called "Stagefright" in Google's Android operating system could let hackers take over a phone with a message, even if that message isn't opened. Up to 95 percent of Android phones could be vulnerable because of the bug. Read more in TECH.
