2. Prison Seamstress Pleads Guilty to Role in Inmates’ Escape
Joyce Mitchell pleaded guilty Tuesday to helping two inmates escape from their upstate New York prison last month. According to police documents, Mitchell, 51, admitted to performing sexual acts on one of the men and sending X-rated selfies to the other. 3. Heat Warnings Affecting Millions Across U.S.
Searing temperatures are in store from parts of the Midwest to the Northeast, with around 35 million people under some sort of heat advisory on Wednesday. The sweltering heat is expected to last unusually long, and meteorologists warned that "most of the country over the next week will see temperatures of 90 or higher." Read more in NEWS.
4. Search Expands for Two Teen Fishermen Still Missing
The Coast Guard has searched nearly 31,000 square nautical miles as they look for two teenage boys who went missing while fishing off the coast of Florida four days ago. So far, only the boat belonging to Austin Stephanos and Perry Cohen has been found, capsized and adrift about 180 miles north of where they set off. Read more in NEWS.

Rumors have swirled for years that the leader of the militant group that ruled Afghanistan until being toppled by U.S.-backed forces 2001 had passed away. Read more in NEWS.
6. Cecil the Lion's Killer Has Bear-Related Felony Record
The American dentist who killed a well-known lion in Zimbabwe also has a felony record over the hunting of black bear in Wisconsin, court documents show. Walter James Palmer sparked outrage when it emerged he killed Cecil the lion, a local tourist favorite who had been collared as part of an Oxford University research project. Read more in NEWS.
7. NFL Upholds Brady's Suspension, Says He Destroyed Phone
The league on Tuesday upheld its four-game suspension of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady — and said he had his phone destroyed just before he met with investigators of the Deflate-Gate scandal.
