A teen familiar to Nickelodeon audiences will be the leading actress in the upcoming action movie sequel, "Transformers: The Last Knight."
Isabela Moner, 15, is the lead actress in the Nickelodeon television series "100 Things to Do Before High School." She was born in Cleveland, Ohio; her mother Katherine was born in Lima, Peru and her father Patrick is from Louisiana.
Moner will play Izabella in the fifth Transformers movie. Izabella is a street-smart tomboy who grew up in an orphan and was raised in foster care. The movie is expected in theaters in June, 2017.
This is Moner's first major movie role. The plot will be set in two different time zones; Optimus Prime's mission is to save his former planet, Cybertron, by searching planet Earth for the mysterious artifact.
Moner has starred in the Nickelodeon TV movies "Legends of the Hidden Temple" and "Splitting Adam." The young actress has also voiced Heather for the upcoming animated film "The Nut Job 2" which will be in movie theaters in May of 2017.
