It's difficult to bring you the latest on Matthew McConaughey's dramatic physical transformation without referring to it as "the skinny." The actor has reached the point where he's doing a spot-on thin man impersonation.
As you may know by now, McConaughey is losing weight for his role in the 2013 film "The Dallas Buyer's Club," in which he plays a man diagnosed with AIDS in the 1980s.
McConaughey is reported to have lost 30 pounds so far. For a guy who is known for being such a fitness freak, the pounds are not simply coming off thanks to shirtless runs on the beach. He simply stopped eating.
Last Friday McConaughey was spotted going through airport security in Los Angeles. We're guessing he passed on any in-flight snack.
He's not the only actor who's foregone food recently for a role playing a dying person. Anne Hathaway earned headlines Monday for revealing that she ate only two thin pieces of oatmeal paste a day to better portray consumptive prostitute Fantine in the upcoming "Les Miserables."
We're looking forward to McConaughey's film wrapping up production soon, and imagine he is too. Pizza and beer on us!
