Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden, the son of Vice President Joe Biden, underwent a "successful procedure" at a Houston hospital and will be discharged Thursday, the vice president says.
The younger Biden had been undergoing tests at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, after experiencing weakness and disorientation.
"Yesterday our son Beau underwent a successful procedure," the vice president and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, said in a statement. "He is in great shape and is going to be discharged tomorrow and heading home to Delaware. He will follow up with his local physicians in the coming weeks.
Joe Biden and his wife traveled to Houston to be with their son during the testing.
The 44-year-old suffered a mild stroke in 2010.
