The Rev. Billy Graham was released from the hospital on Thursday after being treated for respiratory issues.
Graham, who celebrated his 95th birthday this year, was released from Mission Hospital near his home in the North Carolina after a two-day stay, NBC station WCNC reported.
“Mr. Graham was alert and in good spirits during his stay,” Dr. William R. Hathaway chief medical officer at the hospital told WCNC. “We are pleased with the results of Mr. Graham’s evaluation.”
Graham was admitted to the same hospital in Asheville, N.C. for similar tests last month.
The world-renowned evangelist, who counseled several presidents during his more than 60 years as a minister, made a rare appearance on Oct. 31 at a birthday party attended by close to 900 people.
Among the admirers who attended were real estate tycoon Donald Trump, former vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin and TODAY show host Kathie Lee Gifford.
