Yves Rossy flies near the snow-capped peak of Mount Fuji.
Swiss aviator Yves Rossy, known as the "Jetman," flew at speeds of up to 185 mph as he circled Japan's Mt. Fuji during nine flights between Oct. 28 and Nov. 3. With the 132-pound "Jetwing" strapped on his back, Rossy dropped from a helicopter and used his body to steer. For those of us who have been anxiously awaiting a world where jetpacks are a fixture of daily life, it was welcome news.
