Three children killed, six adults hurt in Bronx fire

A two-alarm fire in the Bronx has left three young children dead and six adults seriously injured.

Fire officials say the fire broke out around 7:45 p.m. Friday evening on the second floor of a three-story building on West 165th Street in the Concourse section.

Responding firefighters found two young children dead inside an apartment, authorities said.

A 3-month-old child was rushed to a nearby hospital where they died a short time later. Six adults were also brought to the hospital where they are listed in serious condition.

Firefighters are continuing to battle the blaze.

None of the victims have been identified and there is no word yet on how the fire started.
