Human rights campaigners dressed as ballet dancers wait to cross a road outside the Russian Embassy in London on Wednesday.

They were part of a protest highlighting Vladimir Putin's human rights record and demanding an end to what organizers described as his assault on freedom of expression and gay rights in Russia.
