At least 36 people attending a sweltering Avicii concert in Boston were rushed to area hospitals Wednesday night for dehydration and suspected drug and alcohol abuse, authorities said.
Fire officials said the partygoers were rushed to hospitals during the course of the concert at the TD Garden, which featured the popular Swedish DJ known for hits like "Levels" and "Wake Me Up." A further 50 revelers were treated at the scene. Most of the patients were underage and some appeared to have been drinking and using illicit drugs, emergency officials told NBC affiliate NECN. No one was seriously injured.
Boston EMS said it transported three people from outside the popular concert venue about 9:30 p.m., but the rest were taken by private ambulances.
A police officer at the scene told NECN it was very hot inside the building.
