Two women in Indiana might want to start playing the lottery if this dramatic video is any indication of their luck. The front-facing surveillance camera of a 100-car coal train caught the two walking over a 80-foot bridge northeast of Bloomington just after sunrise when they ran out of options as the locomotive was bearing down on them. The engineer saw them, but couldn’t stop in time. “This engineer threw the train into braking as quickly as possible, but he had thought that he had killed two people here on this bridge,” said Eric Powell, with the Indiana Railroad.

One woman appears to trip and almost fall off the bridge, the other gets down in the center of the tracks. And when the train finally came to a stop, they got up and ran. “He (the engineer) yelled back and asked them ‘Are you ok?’” said Powell. “And one of them yelled that she had stubbed her toe, otherwise fine. I’m sure their nerves were as shattered as his were.” The woman had good reason to flee: They’ve since been identified and will be prosecuted for criminal trespassing, according to NBC Indiana affiliate WTHR. “How they survived that it’s nothing short of a miracle,” said Powell.
