Authorities in Georgia said a mother admitted to drowning her two children Tuesday.
Savannah-Chatham Metro Police said Jokeera Morgan, 26, called 911 shortly before 12:38 p.m. ET and said she drowned her two daughters, 18 months old and 8 months old, at her Savannah home.
Officers gave the girls CPR, but the children were pronounced dead on arrival at an area hospital, police said.
Morgan was arrested and charged with two counts of murder, police said. Detectives were still investigating the drowning and no other details were released. Police said her two other children were not at the home and were not harmed.
Morgan was being booked at the Chatham County Jail Tuesday evening, and it was not immediately clear if she had an attorney.
