Four adults and four children were rescued by helicopter after their boat sank rapidly in rough waters off Hawaii. They were traveling from the island of Molokai to Oahu on Sunday when rough seas started filling their 21-foot vessel with water. "It got scary-rough real fast, where waves were breaking over the bow it happened really quick," crew member Jeff Kozlovich said. "Before we knew it too much water was in the boat. We really couldn't steer well or maneuver."

The crew detached their three kayaks, started making calls on their cellphones and activated a distress beacon that alerted helicopter rescue crews on land. They also fired up their Go-Pro cameras and captured the dramatic rescue on video. A helicopter later plucked the stranded group from the rough waters and all eight escaped injury. "It could have been bad," Kozlovich added. "You have to have a lot of respect for that ocean."
