Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning got his perfect finish — assuming he's finishing — leading his team to a 24-10 win over the Panthers in Super Bowl 50. 2. Death Toll Climbs in Taiwan Earthquake
An earthquake that struck Taiwan on Saturday has left at least 37 people dead. Another 100 or more people are believed to be still buried in the collapsed building. The disaster struck during the most important family holiday in the Chinese calendar — the Lunar New Year. Read more in NEWS.
3. S. Korea Fires Warning Shots at North's Boat After Satellite Launch
Tensions on the Korean peninsula flared again Monday as South Korea fired warning shots at a North Korean patrol boat, one day after Pyongyang provoked international condemnation with a controversial satellite launch. While Pyongyang said the rocket launched Sunday carried a satellite, the launch was widely viewed as a cover for testing ballistic missile technology — in defiance of United Nations sanctions. 4. Thousands of Syrians Amass at Turkish Border
Tens of thousands of Syrians flocked to the border with Turkey over the weekend as Aleppo inched closer to falling under a government siege, cutting thousands off from aid while Russia bombarded the city with airstrikes. But officials in Turkey say displaced refugees likely would not be allowed into their country except in the case of extreme "crisis." Read more in NEWS.
5. Fear of Zika Impacts Daily Life in U.S., Latin America
Americans who had planned to travel to Latin American countries are canceling trips at staggering rates due to fear of the Zika virus. The U.S. already has 33 confirmed cases — 12 of which are in Florida, considered "ground zero" in the U.S. for the virus since mosquitoes are prevalent all year-round in some areas. 6. Bill Clinton Launches Attack on Bernie Sanders
Bill Clinton lashed out on Bernie Sanders at a New Hampshire campaign rally Sunday, tearing into the senator's rhetoric against Hillary Clinton and picking apart his spending plans. 7. New Hampshire Is Do-or-Die for Governors in 2016 Race
All three Republican governors in the 2016 presidential race who have lagged in the polls made a final stand during Saturday night's debate, clawing their way into the spotlight after a handful of encouraging days on the trail.
