Ohio Stunt Plane Hits Home and Crashes, Killing 2: Witnesses

A small biplane crashed into the backyard of a Liberty Township, Ohio, home, killing two people on board.

A plane performing stunts crashed into the backyard of a suburban Cincinnati home Saturday morning, killing its two passengers, police and witnesses said. The accident involving a small red biplane occurred around 9 a.m., the Butler County Sheriff's Office told NBC News. Images from the scene show a side of the home in Liberty Township, Ohio, destroyed, but no one inside was hurt, officials said.

The plane was doing a series of stunts, including a backward roll, when it went into a downward spiral, witnesses told NBC affiliate WLWT. The pilot attempted to pull the plane up, but it hit one home and then landed in a backyard of another in flames, witnesses said. The victims weren't immediately identified.
