A “person of interest” in Sunday’s deadly shooting on New Orleans’ Bourbon Street turned himself into police Wednesday, authorities said.

Justin Odom surrendered to Gretna police Wednesday afternoon, NBC affiliate WDSU reported, and he was arrested on lesser unrelated charges. He was questioned in Sunday’s bloodshed, in which an innocent bystander was killed and nine others wounded after two men opened fire on one another in the French Quarter, but has not been charged in that incident.

Brittany Thomas, 21, who was shot in the head, died Wednesday afternoon, the station reported.

The unrelated charges stemmed from traffic tickets and a shoplifting warrant.
