Police in Minneapolis are searching for a missing University of Minnesota student who hasn't been seen since last week.

Jennifer Houle, 22, was last seen around 1 a.m. Friday at the Blarney Bar in Dinkytown, a neighborhood in Minneapolis, police said. She is 5 foot 5 with long blond hair.

Houle, from the St. Paul area, is a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority and her chapter posted a message on Facebook asking for the public's help.

"Our sister, Jen Houle is still missing," they wrote in the post. "We need all the help we can get to find this warm-hearted, beautiful person."

Houle is a student in the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management, vice provost Danita Brown Young said in a statement. The school is working with authorities to find her, Young said.

"We remain hopeful that Ms. Houle will be found safe and sound," she said.
