Sixth Person Dead Following Tragic Nebraska Highway Crash That Claimed Five Family Members

A sixth fatality was announced on Tuesday following a multiple vehicle crash in Nebraska that was reported to have killed five people on Sunday.

Terry Sullivan, 56, of Denver, was pronounced dead Monday afternoon after he was injured in the crash on Interstate 80 just over the Nebraska-Colorado border, authorities told NBC affiliate KSNB on Tuesday.

He remains on life support to facilitate donation of organs, the station reported.

Sullivan was the driver of a minivan that was among four vehicles and a semi involved in the crash, according to KSNB,

The crash also took the lives of five members of a single Minnesota family: Jamison Pals, 29, his wife, Kathryne Pals, 29, the couple’s three children, three-year old Ezra, 23-month old Violet, and two-month old Calvin.

The driver of the semi, Tony A. Weekly, 53, was hospitalized but is facing charges of felony motor vehicle homicide in connection with the crash, KSNB reported.
