Jodi Arias reported to an Arizona prison Tuesday to begin serving a sentence of life without parole in the 2008 death of her boyfriend.
Arias was admitted to the Perryville State Prison Complex prison in Goodyear, west of Phoenix, where she will be incarcerated pending an appeal of her conviction of murder in the death of Travis Alexander, who was shot and then stabbed nearly 30 times in his home outside Phoenix.
In her new prison mug shot, an expressionless Arias wears a simple orange jumpsuit with her hair pulled back in a ponytail and isn't wearing her glasses — a marked departure from the image she presented at her trial and at her sentencing Monday.
