Dramatic cellphone video taken across the street from the horrific ambush of two New York police officers shows the frantic aftermath of the deadly shooting.

The footage, shot by two residents in an upper floor of a Brooklyn apartmentbuilding, shows efforts by cops and paramedics to revive the two officers, before they are put in ambulances.

The audio of the video, which has been muted by NBC News for containing an excess of graphic language, the residents speculate about whether the officers are dead, and cops on the street can be heard clearing bystanders out of the area.

Suspect Ismaaiyl-Brinsley, whom family members said was "emotionally troubled," fired four slugs into a patrol car the officers were sitting in after allegedly telling some passersby, "Watch what I'm going to do."

Officer Rafael Ramos was a married father who recently celebrated his 40th birthday and had two teenagers; his funeral is scheduled for Saturday, according to NBC New York. Officer Wenjian Liu was married two months ago and he and his wife had talked about building a family; he was his parents' only son. Liu's funeral date is not known.
