At least two winning tickets for the $400 million Mega Millions jackpot were sold in Florida and Maryland, lottery officials said early Wednesday.

The winning numbers announced late Tuesday were 11, 19, 24, 33, 51. The Mega Ball was Ball 7.

The potential jackpot would be the sixth-largest lottery prize in American history and the winners have the opportunity to divide a $224 million lump-sum prize.

Florida lottery officials said their winning ticket was sold at a Sunoco convenience store in Merritt Island. Maryland's ticket was sold at Lady's Liquor in La Plata, south of Washington.

In Maryland, the winner has 182 days to claim the prize and can do so anonymously. Officials haven't yet identified the Charles County retailer that sold the winning ticket.

In Florida, the winner has 180 days, and his or her name and city of residence will be released by lottery officials. The Florida winner must claim the prize at the state lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.

Mega Millions altered its rules in October to help boost jackpots by lengthening the odds of winning the top prize.

A $425 million Powerball jackpot from February has yet to be claimed — despite the winning numbers' matching a ticket sold in Milpitas, Calif.
