Winter Storm Could Drop up to 2 Feet of Snow on Rockies

The first major winter storm of the season could dump as much as 2 feet of snow on parts of Colorado, The Weather Channel warned early Monday.

The Weather Channel said the storm could wallop the Front Range of the Rockies, and advised that blizzard conditions were possible Monday night through Tuesday.

The National Weather Service issued blizzard watches and warnings for parts of central and eastern Colorado, northwestern Kansas and southern Nebraska, according to The Weather Channel.

The snow could wreak havoc for travelers. The Weather Channel said poor visibility from the snow and high winds could close roads through the High Plains.
