A woman was arrested after jumping over a barricade in front of the White House on Friday evening, according to the U.S. Secret Service.

The woman has not yet been identified, but authorities said she was immediately detained and charged with unlawful entry after jumping over a barricade described as a "bike rack" by the Secret Service. The bike rack-style barricades are situated several feet in front of the White House fence on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C.

The incident, which took place around 7 p.m. ET, resulted in the White House being put on lockdown for about an hour.

Metal spikes were installed atop the White House fence on July 1 after a parade of intruders made it over the fence and onto the lawn.
