An Italian artist is spending two days looking for a needle in a haystack in a Paris gallery. Yes, literally.

Sven Sachsalber began his search Thursday at the Palais de Tokyo, a contemporary art space that describes itself as an "anti-museum par excellence." The gallery's director hid a needle inside the haystack at the outset of the performance, which is scheduled to go on for two full days.

Art fans around the world can watch every second of Sachsalber's search on a live video stream on YouTube.

UPDATE: Sachsalber found the needle Friday evening.
