LONDON — Hollywood wasn't the only hot red carpet this weekend.

The British capital has pulled out all the stops — red carpet included — for one lucky 24-year-old who beat out more than 11,000 other people to win a whirlwind, star-studded visit fit for royalty as "London's Official Guest of Honor."

Adaeze Uyanwah brought her mother along for the trip, which kicked off on February 8, and saw the Palmdale, California, native hobnobbing with Britain's finest.

She toured a science museum with Stephen Hawking, met the mayor of London, had tea with "Downton Abbey" actor Jim Carter, roamed Wimbledon with tennis star Tim Henman, went on a £5,000 ($7,675) shopping spree with the editor of Glamour magazine and performed as an extra in the hit musical "Mamma Mia!"

"I’ve literally done incredible things, it’s been so awesome," she told NBC News, adding that for a "huge Harry Potter fan" her visit to the set at Warner Bros. studios took the cake.

Uyanwah won the once-in-a-lifetime trip by submitting a video to tourism agency visitlondon.com which detailed her perfect day in the British capital. She got all that and more, telling NBC News that getting back to normal life after her whirlwind week will be "difficult."

"I think I’m just going to take some days off and try and get back into the swing of things, but it’s not going to be easy," she said.
