More than 35 people have been found dead since the six-story structure collapsed following heavy rains and floods in Nairobi on Friday.

The Kenya Red Cross said the woman was pulled from the rubble just after 3 p.m. local time (8 a.m. ET) — more than two hours after she was discovered.

"She said she’s OK and she really wants to get out," the Red Cross' Anthony Mwangi told NBC News before she was finally freed, adding that she was in a "very difficult position."

Rescuers encountered the woman as they were chiseling through the rubble, Mwangi said. He was not able to give details on her medical condition but said crews had been able to hook her up to a drip while she was pinned inside the debris.

Her rescue was the second such discovery at the site this week, after a 6-month-old baby girl was pulled from the rubble Tuesday with no injuries after more than 80 hours.
