Residents of the Old City of Homs in war-ravaged Syria removed belongings from their destroyed neighborhood on Monday.
Syrians streamed back into the ruins of the Old City of Homs on May 10, picking through the remains of their homes and struggling to come to terms with the destruction.
The influx came a day after the last rebel holdouts left the area under an evacuation deal that handed the Old City back to the government, granting it a symbolic victory.
Rebel forces were in the besieged Old City for nearly two years and regime troops shelled the area almost daily before the deal.
