JAKARTA, Indonesia - A Chicago woman whose body was found stuffed in a suitcase in Bali was struck by a blunt object, officials said Saturday. The daughter of Sheila von Wiese-Mack and the daughter’s boyfriend have been charged with murder.

Local police said Saturday that a bloody towel, bloody vase and bloodied sheets were found at the crime scene in the post St. Regis Bali hotel. Dr. Dudut Rustyadi, head of the police forensic team, said preliminary autopsy results show Mack took a blow to the head and back of the neck. A defensive wound was found on Mack’s hand, Rustyadi added. Mack’s body is expected to be returned to the U.S. on Monday for further investigation, officials added. Local police said the two suspects are not talking and that police are waiting for the results of a pregnancy test carried out for Mack’s daughter, Heather.
