Expert witness: Zimmerman’s head wounds not life-threatening
Contradicting George Zimmerman’s account that Trayvon Martin had slammed his head into the pavement again and again, a medical examiner testified Tuesday that Zimmerman’s head wounds could have come from a single blow. “To me, the word ‘slam’ implies great force,” Dr. Valerie Rao said in court. “And this, the resultant injuries, are not great force.” George Zimmerman has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.
