Donald Trump faced his fans on Reddit Wednesday night, when he took questions from users for an “Ask Me Anything" on one of the nation's most trafficked sites.

The event was hosted by r/The_Donald, the popular subreddit run by mostly anonymous Trump fans. It wasn’t quite a true “Ask Me Anything” as the term is usually used. Moderators tightly screened questions so that only users who were believed to be established Trump supporters were allowed to participate.

The comments quickly filled with fawning questions that often touched on topics popular with the broader Reddit community, like space exploration, net neutrality, Edward Snowden and marijuana legalization.

“Are you getting tired of winning?" one user asked.

“I am never tired of winning, and as your president I will win for you, the American people,” Trump responded. “I'm with you!”

A number of questions sought to draw out policy details from Trump, though the nominee responded with few specifics.

Take campaign finance reform. Trump railed against campaign cash in the primaries before accepting donations and super PAC support in the general election. Asked by a user to describe his plan for keeping money out of politics, he responded: “Keeping Crooked Hillary Clinton out of the White House!”

Milo Yianappoulos, the “alt right” icon recently banned from Twitter, asked Trump about H1B visas. Trump said that his proposals were “the exact opposite of Crooked Hillary Clinton” and referred users to the detailed plan on his website. Trump has contradicted that H1B plan at times over the course of the election.

Asked about his favorite presidents, Trump named “George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Dwight Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan, all of whom I greatly admire.”

Eisenhower was a notable choice in that he rarely gets much mention from Republican politicians. He was the last president to be elected without prior political experience.

One user asked Trump how he would court supporters of Bernie Sanders, who have a large and active community on Reddit. The nominee offered half an olive branch.

“Though Bernie is exhausted and has given up on his revolution, many of his voters still want to keep up the fight,” Trump wrote. “I expect that millions of Bernie voters will refuse to vote for Hillary because of her support for the War in Iraq, the invasion of Libya, NAFTA and TPP, and of course because she is totally bought and sold by special interests.”
