House Republicans announced Monday the law firm BakerHostetler will represent them in the lawsuit against President Barack Obama.

House Administration Committee Chair Candice Miller, R-Mich., signed a contract that agrees to pay the firm $500 per hour for "all reasonable attorney time" needed for the Congress-funded lawsuit. It caps the total legal costs at $350,000 and states the cap "will not be raised."

Republicans authorized the lawsuit in a partisan vote last month. They argue Obama acted unconstitutionally when he used executive actions to delay the employer mandate of the Affordable Care Act.

The president, along with Democrats in Congress, say the suit is a politically motivated waste of tax payer funds.
