In case you wanted even more evidence that Hillary Clinton is more than eyeing a 2016 presidential run: She and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, are heading to Iowa next month to attend retiring Sen. Tom Harkin's, D-Iowa, annual steak fry on Sept. 14.
Iowa, of course, is the state that traditionally hosts the first presidential nominating contest -- and it's where Clinton lost to Barack Obama in 2008.
And Harkin's steak fry has become an important event for Democrats thinking about a White House bid.
Per a release:
"Past special guests have included Bill and Hillary Clinton, President Barack Obama, Vice Presidents Joe Biden and Al Gore, Senators Paul Wellstone, Al Franken and Bernie Sanders, Governor Martin O’Malley, now-HUD Secretary Julian Castro and all of the major Democratic presidential candidates in 2003 and 2007, among many other luminaries."
