Outgoing Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid doesn’t exactly have a favorite Republican gunning for the 2016 presidential nomination.

“I don’t really care,” he told CNBC’s John Harwood in an interview. “They’re all losers.”

Reid, never known as a lawmaker who holds back his true feelings, also told Harwood that he doesn’t believe Hillary Clinton needs a strong internal challenge from within the Democratic Party.

“I am not a big fan of primaries," he said. "I don't think they help, especially when you're someone as noted as Hillary."

The Nevada Democrat also disclosed that Bill Clinton ends every phone conversation with “Harry, I love you.”

“So sincere,” he added.

Reid has announced that he's not running for the Senate again in 2016.
