Mitt Romney Returns to New Hampshire to Stump for Scott Brown

Mitt Romney on Wednesday returned to the New Hampshire farm where his 2012 presidential campaign officially began, only this time he was there to help get someone else elected.

Romney endorsed Republican Senate candidate Scott Brown, who is challenging Democratic incumbent Sen. Jeanne Shaheen. Romney blasted Shaheen as a reliable rubber stamp for President Barack Obama.

“She is the ‘Simon Says senator,’” Romney said. “We don’t need that, we need an independent senator.”

The rally was held at the same farm in Stratham, New Hampshire, where Romney announced the start of his last presidential campaign. Though it had the makings of a Romney campaign event from the past, the former Massachusetts governor has said repeatedly he is not seeking another presidential run.

“New Hampshire knows Mitt Romney very, very well. It’s not just because he won the presidential primary here,” Brown said. “We know him as an upright and capable man who we wish was president right now.”
