The Scream is back.
Former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean, campaigning for New York mayoral candidate Bill de Blasio, had a little fun at his own expense.
Dean, who has struck a reflective tone this year -- given that it's been 10 years since his presidential candidacy that ignited the liberal base -- reenacted his "Scream" that caricatured him as ill-tempered and helped finalize the derailment of his once front-running candidacy.
Noting, in a video posted by the de Blasio campaign, that he was wearing the same shirt from the "Scream" speech from 10 years ago, Dean belted out, "So, we're going to Brooklyn and then we're going to The Bronx, and then we're going to Staten Island, and then we're going to Manhattan, and all the way to Gracie Mansion... Yeah!"
No word on why Dean didn't mention Queens (where one of your First Read authors was born and raised).
Hat tip to NBC producer Sarah Blackwill, who spotted the video.
