Former Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge told the TODAY show Wednesday that the U.S. must “start playing offense” against ISIS after last week’s deadly attack in Paris.

“The president can't let the clock run out. I know he loves basketball but it's not like running out clock,” Ridge, who served under President George W. Bush, said. “You run out clock when you're winning. We need to build a coalition to deal with this in Syria as well.”
