House Speaker John Boehner plunged into the debate over vaccinations that has divided his party, coming down on the side that favors vaccinations.

"I do believe all children ought to be vaccinated," the Ohio Republican told reporters Tuesday morning. He added that he doesn't think there should be a new federal law over the issue, however.

As a measles outbreak emerged from Disneyland in California, the vaccination debate has roiled presidential politics since New Jersey Governor Chris Christie called for "balance" in the discussion over vaccinations. Some Republican potential contenders came down in support of vaccines, including neurosurgeon Ben Carson, while Sen. Rand Paul, also a a doctor, said vaccines are "good" but can also lead to mental disorders.
