It was “just another day at the ranch” when New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie shouted down a heckler disrupting an event marking the two-year anniversary of Hurricane Sandy on Wednesday.
‘If someone is going to stand up and I ignore them for a while and then they continue to be rude and talk over me and block other people, well then I’m going to engage,” Christie said Thursday in New Mexico, where he is campaigning for Gov. Susana Martinez.
“And that’s what the people of New Jersey, and I think a lot of people in this country have come to expect from me... So it’s just another day at the ranch, at ‘Ranch-O Christie,” he added.
One day earlier, Christie told protester James Keady to “sit down and shut up” when he disrupted the event. Keady said Sandy aid has come in too slow two years after the storm that ravaged parts of the Garden State.
