The highly anticipated meeting has been been moved to Friday. Snowstorms threaten to hit the East Coast overnight Monday and into Tuesday, with cities like New York, Boston and Washington, D.C., in its crosshairs.
The president is expected to hold a joint press conference with Merkel on Friday.
Trump was outspoken in his criticism of Merkel during the campaign, specifically attacking her for the decision to allow refugees from war-torn countries into Germany.
