Amanda Bynes is home for the holidays. The 27-year-old "Hairspray" actress has completed inpatient treatment and is currently recovering at her parents' Los Angeles residence.

"Amanda and her entire family would like to thank everyone who's contacted them with good thoughts and wishes for Amanda's recovery," her mother's attorney, Tamar Arminak, tells People in a statement. "Amanda has completed her inpatient rehabilitation and she's feeling better every day."

"Despite the fact Amanda is no longer in a facility, her outpatient treatment is continuing. She's very happy to reestablish the loving relationship with her family that she once shared."

According to Arminak, Bynes is "now looking at various colleges with the intention of majoring in fashion design. She's mentioned before she's interested in creating a clothing line."

Bynes isn't exactly a novice in the world of fashion. After all, the "All That" star designed a collection for Steve & Barry called Dear in August 2007. (The partnership ended when the company went bankrupt.)

Two months before she was sent into treatment, Bynes told In Touch she was eager to get back into the apparel business. "I love Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's clothing line, Elizabeth and James, and I love how Justin Bieber dresses," she told the magazine in May 2013. "My line will be a mixture of sick styles, and it's going to be for everybody."

Bynes was placed on an involuntary 5150 psychiatric hold in July after she was seen standing near a gas can and a small fire on a household driveway in Thousand Oaks, Calif. Per a judge's orders, she was sent into treatment and later moved to a rehabilitation facility in Malibu. According to Arminak, Bynes' mother will remain in indefinite control over the actress' well-being and finances as she recovers.

In late November, a judge reviewed Bynes' court-ordered medical evaluation and determined that the actress is capable of understanding the DUI charges she faces (stemming from an April 2012 incident in which she allegedly side-swiped a police cruiser). The "She's the Man" star's attorney, Rich Hutton, did not object to the judge's decision.

Bynes' next court date is set for Jan. 7, 2014, when both parties will reevaluate where she stands.
