Bobby Brown Asks for Privacy After Daughter's Tub Scare

"Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time," Brown said of Bobbi Kristina.

Singer Bobby Brown requested privacy Sunday a day after his daughter with the late Whitney Houston, Bobbi Kristina Brown, was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her Georgia home.

"Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time," Bobby Brown said in a statement. A spokesman for the family, Christopher Brown, confirmed that Bobbi Kristina Brown, 21, was brought to an Atlanta hospital and that her father was by her bedside, but said that "no additional information will be forthcoming."

A relative told NBC affiliate WXIA Saturday that Brown was in a medically induced coma, but hospital officials declined to comment on her condition. Roswell Police Officer Lisa Holland told NBC News Saturday that detectives found no drugs in Brown's home, and the incident was being treated as a medical investigation.

The scare comes nearly three years exactly after Brown's mother, Houston, was found submerged in a bathtub in a Beverly Hills hotel on Feb. 11, 2012. Houston was later pronounced dead.

"It's a rough time of year," Jerod Brown, Bobbi Kristina's first cousin, told NBC News on Saturday. "It's been a hard time."
