Justin Bieber took a seat "Between Two Ferns" in the latest installment of Zach Galifianakis' spoof talk show and the singer took a lashing — verbally and by way of the host's belt.
In the Funny or Die skit, "Justin Beevers" sits down for a chat, which Galifianakis is excited to point out comes "right in the middle of [Bieber's] public meltdown." (Video has one curse word.)
The 19-year-old pop star sports a glum, too-cool-for-school demeanor throughout the faux interview. Past stars who have appeared, including Jon Hamm, Bradley Cooper, Charlize Theron, Natalie Portman and more, have acted enthused to be on the "show" before Galifianakis' odd line of questioning turns things sour.
Among the best questions for Bieber:
- "What was the last toy you got in a Happy Meal?"
- "Is it fun to be cocky?"
- "When you're in the recording studio, do you ever think, 'Hey what if I don't make something s---ty?' Does that pop into your mind in the process?"
- "You've had three hairstyles. What's next for your career?"
Bieber also discussed his prior statement about how he hoped Anne Frank would have been a Belieber. Galifianakis asked if Bieber meant that Frank, had she lived into her 80s, would have liked Bieber's music "presumably due to loss of hearing."
And finally, the host confronted Bieber about the July incident in which the singer was filmed urinating into a restaurant mop bucket.
"There hasn't been a time in the last six, seven years that I haven't urinated in a bucket," Galifianakis said. "But I don't film it and put it on Internets."
With that, Galifianakis rose from his chair and began shouting. "You're too young to be smoking pot, and pee-peeing in buckets, and driving up and down the highway fast."
The host then did what the rest of America has thought about for years, and took his belt to Bieber.
